Description

This itinerary is suitable for athletes who have a certain condition, as some sections run strongly uphill on gravel roads and also technical descents are included. Cyclists should use caution. The present ring is 7.5 km long with a vertical drop of 280 m. It is classified as a tour for mountainbike experts. Recommended starting point is Castion and you should commit the itinerary in a clockwise direction. Starting from the center you reach Villa Pellegrini Cipolla (centuries XIV-XVIII) with its Italian garden and then, riding uphill, the charming hamlet Pizzon. A relaxing rest area is located behind the old fountain, beyond the small wooden bridge that crosses the torrent Gusa. Cycling along Mount Torre with its cool-giving pine trees, you reach the locality Colle, then you cross the locality Rodole and arrive to the ancient hamlet Saint Verolo with its church from centuries XII – XIII, dedicated to the martyr Verulo. Cross the road and go along the locality Campagnolo back to the center of Castion.
